We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ink Chemist to join our R&D and production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ink formulation, testing, and quality assurance, particularly within the flexographic, gravure Inks. You will play a critical role in the development of new products, improvement of existing formulations, and troubleshooting technical issues to support both production and customer needs.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop new ink formulations based on specific performance, cost, and regulatory requirements.
- Modify and improve existing ink formulations to enhance quality, stability, and production efficiency.
- Conduct physical, chemical, and performance testing of inks, ensuring compliance with internal standards and customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot ink-related issues in production and customer applications, providing timely solutions.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all formulations, test results, and development activities.
- Collaborate closely with production, sales, and technical teams to align ink development with market demands.
- Source and evaluate raw materials to improve product performance and reduce costs.
- Prepare technical data sheets, safety data sheets (SDS), and other relevant documentation.
- Assist in setting up pilot runs and scaling up new ink formulations for commercial production.
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment following company hygiene and safety protocols.
- Support quality assurance and control teams by providing technical expertise on incoming raw materials and finished products.
- Participate in customer visits, technical support, and troubleshooting at customer sites as needed.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in ink formulation and development, preferably in water-based, solvent-based.
- Familiarity with the Middle East printing and packaging market is a strong advantage.
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of ink chemistry, rheology, pigment dispersion, and application technologies.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong skills in testing methods, quality control, and troubleshooting.
- Communication: Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical teams and collaborate effectively with production and sales.
