To design electrical equipment and systems (LV, MV and HV).
Technical and Commercial preparation including Planning, Organisation chart, RFQ, Technical and Commercial bid review and evaluation from OEMs, Suppliers, Vendors, man-hours estimation for engineering, construction, Testing and Commissioning, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Development and review of:
- Design Basis, Specification and Data sheets.
- Develop single line diagrams & power distribution drawings.
- Equipment sizing and calculations.
- Equipment Adequate checks.
- Power system studies.
- General calculations for cable sizing, lighting, earthing, busbars etc.
- Earthing Layouts.
- Power Interconnection Diagrams.
- Installation drawings.
- Material Requisition (MR).
- Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE).
- Material Approval Request (MAR).
- Evaluation of life cycle costs.
- Feed studies for LV / MV / HV equipment and systems.
- Communication systems and architecture (Power Management System).
- Knowledge in HSE studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, Constructability, PHSER, etc.
- Knowledge of hazardous area classification.
- Lead the team of engineers (in the discipline).
- Technical bid evaluation of OEM / Vendor / Sub-contractor offers.
- Review of OEM / Vendor / Sub-contractor drawings.
- Assistance with procurement.
- Attending site survey and lead the site survey team.
- Advise project management on technical issues.
- Respect of budget and time frame.
- Quality / conformity with technical requirement.
- Correctness & verification of design output.
- Contract review and management of engineering.
- Involvement in FAT / IFAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
- Preparation of Deliverable Lists (MDR / EDDR).
- Co-ordination with clients, OEMs, Vendors, sub-contractors, management and other disciplines.
Qualifications:
10-15 years’ overall experience in oil and gas / petrochemicals, out of which 5-10 years has been as electrical design engineer, and 2-3 years as lead electrical design engineer. Relevant experience in construction & commissioning is preferable.
Candidate must be ADNOC Approved.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of International standards (IEC, IEEE, BP, SHELL DEP, NFPA etc.), HAZOP, HSE, Environmental impact, Hazardous classifications.
Software:
ETAP, EDSA, CYMGRID, MS office including access, Autocad, MS project, lighting calculation software (DIALUX).
