Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) in Abu Dhabi seeks a Planning Engineer to drive planning, monitoring, and controlling of infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution. You will maintain schedules in Primavera P6, coordinate across engineering, procurement, and construction teams, and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of planning experience in infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Excel.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Update schedules with progress from engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
• Review project data for completeness and maintain schedule logic.
• Monitor progress against baselines and flag delays.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, site execution, QA/QC, and accounting.
• Assist in tracking manpower, materials, plant, and equipment.
• Support cost control by maintaining cost records and expenditures.
• Maintain project logs and procurement/status registers.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and dashboards.
• Assist in recovery schedules and look-ahead programs.
• Support management reports and presentations.
• Ensure planning docs adhere to company procedures.
• Perform other planning and project control duties as assigned.
