Information Security Specialist(Emiratization)

Job Objective:

This role requires a technical expert with broad experience in architecting and implementing information security technology solutions in a large enterprise environment. The candidate must act as a technical leader to support talent development and build high-performance teams. As an effective collaborator, the Cybersecurity Specialist will work closely with key stakeholders such as the Sr. Network Engineer, Systems Architect, and other teams to implement effective business solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep and broad background in information security and related services, with current knowledge of emerging best practices and service trends, especially in cloud computing.

Responsibilities include:

1. Security systems development, testing, analysis, and implementation
2. System vulnerability assessment and management
3. Response to security threats, attacks, and incidents
4. Development of threat prevention strategies
5. Conducting black/white box security assessments using industry-standard tools
6. Generating regular reports for executives and administrators
7. Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment Policies
8. Participating in risk management activities
9. Working independently on technical issues and recommending design solutions
10. Understanding infrastructure, virtualization, cybersecurity standards, and operating procedures
11. Collaborating with the cybersecurity team to develop protective protocols and systems
12. Maintaining security guidelines, procedures, standards, and controls documentation
13. Keeping current with cybercrime tactics
14. Leading analysis of the technology environment to detect deficiencies and recommend improvements
15. Conducting incident response analyses
16. Participating in and leading design sessions with internal and external stakeholders
17. Consulting on application and infrastructure development projects for system harmonization
18. Designing governance activities for compliance with security policies
19. Monitoring and ensuring compliance with standards and policies
20. Defining migration plans to bridge current and future security states

Job Dimensions:

Risk Reduction Strategy Development:

• Lead development of risk reduction strategies for critical digital assets
• Develop cyber security control implementation strategies
• Establish KPIs to monitor cyber risks
• Communicate with senior leadership on security issues
• Act as liaison with regulatory authorities to validate security performance

Solution Design:

• Lead creation of technology solution deliverables
• Design, build, implement, and support enterprise security systems
• Design security architecture to mitigate emerging threats
• Create solutions balancing business and security requirements

Risk Management:

• Analyze current and potential risks
• Report risks to relevant audiences
• Build risk awareness through support and training

Framework:

Follow international standards for IT service management

Technology Research:

• Plan strategically based on company objectives and IT developments
• Research new technologies to support future organizational needs

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent

1. Minimum Experience:

• At least 5 years in IT & OT cybersecurity
• Hands-on experience in mission-critical cybersecurity operations
• Experience in building service-oriented organizations and promoting service delivery
• Excellent analytical skills and project management capabilities
• Experience with vendor negotiations, SLAs, and contract management
• High integrity and professionalism in handling confidential matters
• Self-starter with accountability and minimal supervision
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
• Flexibility to work after hours or on weekends due to 24/7 operations
