Overview of the Role

The Information Security Analyst supports the organization 's Cyber Defense activities by monitoring security events, investigating potential incidents, administering SIEM infrastructure, and assisting with vulnerability management. The role requires analytical thinking and disciplined incident handling, together with the ability to work across technical teams. The analyst will also contribute to security documentation, detection strategies, operating procedures, and ongoing improvements to SOC processes.

QRadar SIEM Administration

• Administer and maintain QRadar appliances.
• Keep relevant QRadar software updates, patches, and upgrades current.
• Monitor and analyse security events and incidents detected through QRadar.
• Conduct regular health checks on QRadar system components.
• Optimise system components to support operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot QRadar functionality and performance issues.
• Work with IT security teams to develop and refine security use cases and detection strategies.
• Provide QRadar-related support to IT teams and other stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation covering QRadar configurations, processes, and procedures.

Security Operations and Incident Management
