About the job

The successful candidate will join the GAC Group’s Information Management team, whose mission is to implement policies, processes, organizational changes, and technologies to optimize and automate information management. The primary focus is on managing products and teams related to Information Governance, including master data management, data quality management, metadata management, and data governance, to support the strategic goals set by our business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage products in the area of Information Governance.
2. Develop relationships with business leaders to leverage Information Governance products for added value.
3. Manage and develop staff in Information Governance, building skills and capabilities.
4. Provide leadership and strategic direction for Information Governance products to align with digital transformation goals.
5. Act as Product Manager for Information Governance in digital products and projects.
6. Govern data and information across GAC Group to enable informed decision-making with accurate data access.
7. Educate and train users on information governance importance and practices.
8. Manage products and teams related to master and reference data management, including activities like data consolidation, matching, merging, and managing relationships.
9. Oversee management of information governance policies, compliance, data ownership, stewardship, and change management.

Job requirements

Technical Knowledge

• 5+ years of product management experience in Information Governance.
• 2+ years managing product development teams.

Educational Qualification: An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in data science, computer science, engineering, or similar fields.

Professional Qualification

• Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
• Strong product management skills.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing business requirements.

• Expertise in MDM, DQM, metadata management, data governance, with proven methodologies.
• Experience analyzing and documenting business rules and processes related to MDM, DQM, and data governance.
• Practical experience implementing solutions using platforms like Informatica.

Communication

• Effective communicator at all levels, capable of engaging senior stakeholders.
• Cultural awareness in multi-cultural environments.
• Proficient in English.
• Good understanding of IT architecture, development, infrastructure, and DevOps.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.
