Job summary

SearchPlus HR in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Specialist/Consultant in Infectious Diseases to manage complex infections, optimize antimicrobial therapy, and strengthen infection prevention and control within a multispecialty hospital.

The role requires a recognised postgraduate qualification in Infectious Diseases, eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOHAP licensure, and a proven track record in complex infection management.

Qualifications

• Recognized postgraduate specialist qualification in Infectious Diseases or equivalent.
• Eligibility for UAE DHA/DOH/MOHAP licensure.
• Experience diagnosing and managing infectious diseases in hospital/multispecialty settings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, evaluate, and manage a wide range of infectious diseases.
• Treat complex infections including sepsis, TB, HIV-related infections; travel-related diseases as appropriate.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe antimicrobial therapy.
• Review lab results and microbiology to guide treatment decisions.
• Provide specialist consultation for complicated infections.
• Support antimicrobial stewardship to promote appropriate antibiotic use.
• Collaborate with microbiology, ICU, internal medicine and other teams.
• Contribute to infection prevention and outbreak investigations.
• Maintain medical records and ensure compliance with UAE guidelines.
