Candidates should have postgraduate Infectious Disease qualifications and senior-level clinical experience, and will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Recognized medical degree with postgraduate qualifications in Infectious Disease or related specialty.
• Senior Specialist or Consultant level clinical experience.
• Expertise in diagnosis, treatment, and management of infectious diseases.
• Knowledge of infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, and hospital infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of infectious diseases, including complex and emerging infections.
• Evaluate patients, interpret diagnostic investigations, and develop treatment plans.
• Manage antimicrobial therapy and promote antimicrobial stewardship.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex cases and infection prevention initiatives.
• Support hospital infection control protocols and contribute to outbreak investigation and management.
• Provide clinical guidance and education to healthcare professionals and patients.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
