Job description

The Infection Controller is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control (IPC) programs to ensure a safe and hygienic environment within healthcare facilities. This role involves compliance with national and international infection control guidelines, staff training, and incident investigations to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures.

Conduct regular surveillance and audits to identify and mitigate infection risks.

Educate healthcare staff on infection prevention practices and proper PPE usage.

Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain compliance with DHA/DOH infection control regulations.

Monitor sterilization procedures and cleanliness standards.

Prepare and submit infection control reports to management and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, or Public Health; Master s preferred.

Certification in Infection Control.

Minimum 3 years of experience in infection control in a healthcare setting.

In-depth knowledge of infection control standards and UAE healthcare regulations.

Strong analytical and training skills.

Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
