Job summary

Crescent Petroleum Company is seeking a Predictive Analytics Engineer to design, build, and deploy analytics that enhance asset reliability and optimize production in oil and gas facilities. The role focuses on robust data pipelines, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance using process historians, IoT data, and CMMS records.

Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent quantitiy field.
• Proven hands-on experience deploying predictive models in industrial settings.
• Strong math/statistics foundation applied to sensor and equipment data.
• 10+ years designing and operating predictive analytics in industrial environments.
• Mandatory Oil & Gas or Manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience taking models from prototype to production with measurable impact.
• Experience with distributed data pipelines for high-volume sensor data.
• Experience with industrial data sources such as historians, CMMS/EAM systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy predictive analytics for reliability and maintenance.
• Develop and tune regression, classification, and time-series models.
• Apply statistical foundations to feature engineering and optimization.
• Engineer scalable data and model pipelines using Spark, Kafka, and related tech.
• Create physics-aware models reflecting equipment behavior and conditions.
• Collaborate with engineers and SMEs to validate data sources and use cases.
• Translate challenges into analytical use cases with clear business value.
• Own end-to-end predictive analytics initiatives from framing to monitoring.
• Design and implement MLOps, CI/CD, testing, versioning, and deployment automation.
• Ensure production-readiness, explainability, and integration with dashboards.
