Job description

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of all tasks. Anantara employees continually find new ways to serve their business, guests, and colleagues. The key responsibilities for this position include:

  1. Coordinating with Operating Managers to maintain par stock levels for efficient department operations.
  2. Reviewing inventory par levels and ensuring stocks are maintained appropriately.
  3. Supervising monthly stock takes.
  4. Overseeing the Receiving Store function and conducting stock audits.
  5. Preparing regular Food & Beverage cost reports.
  6. Performing food cost reporting checks regularly and discussing findings with the Chef.
  7. Controlling Officer checks allowances.
  8. Managing control of the Consignment stock and movements.
  9. Performing related duties and special projects as assigned.
  10. Verifying that the computerized systems (e.g., Opera Micros) daily reports reflect all transactions accurately.
  11. Reviewing paid-out and allowance vouchers for reasonableness, proper approval, and supporting documentation.
  12. Supporting the verification of complimentary and house-use rooms, as well as rooms charged at varying rates from the rack rate.
  13. Auditing the list of Voided Restaurant Checks for proper approvals and explanations.
  14. Reviewing guest ledger balances daily and investigating questionable transactions.
  15. Conducting surprise cash counts of cashier floats.
  16. Reconciling revenue, Municipality Fee, VAT, SVC daily, and ensuring timely submission of statutory fees and taxes.
  17. Preparing discrepancy and Management Information reports based on findings during daily audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Hotel Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel or resort costing.
  • Good understanding of accounting requirements.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and tactical skills.
