Scheduling Engineer

Schedules, plans, and oversees the entire program of work.

Plans, organizes, and coordinates planning activities.

The Scheduling Engineer is required to develop the most appropriate method and sequence of shutdown and turnaround, plant construction activities, in conjunction with the Project Manager, to ensure the project is completed on time, safely, and within budget.

selects the most appropriate techniques and logical sequence of activities to complete the project scope.

Inputs the work breakdown structure information to assess accurate forecasts of time, resources, and cash flow.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 10 years in scheduling shutdowns, turnarounds, and revamp projects in the oil & gas field environment.
  • Last 5 years should be as a scheduling engineer on a turnaround project with over 350,000 man-hours.
  • Experience leading and managing a multidisciplinary planning team of qualified planning engineers for a turnaround.
  • Experience in material selection based on international standards and company standards.
  • Knowledge of API/ASME/ANSI standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the core team leader in all scheduling activities related to the turnaround.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor activities including mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical planning.
  • Ensure work plan generation at level 5 as per scope of work.
  • Supervise the team of schedulers and planning staff.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in oil and gas, refinery projects, specifically ADNOC projects.
  • Experience with shutdown/turnaround projects in EPC, brownfield, and greenfield environments.
