Job description

We are seeking an experienced professional in IMPORT & EXPORT L/C DOCUMENTATION within the commodity trading sector. Candidates should have a minimum of 4-8 years experience in both commodity trading and operations sectors, and be interested in a challenging role based in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure efficient and smooth execution of trading transactions.
  2. Manage day-to-day operations and delegate tasks to team members.
  3. Review contracts and deal recaps to confirm payment terms align with company facilities and credit policies.
  4. Prepare all relevant documents for the opening, negotiation, and confirmation of Letters of Credit (L/C).
  5. Coordinate with traders and finance department regarding trade finance matters such as L/C payments and amendments, ensuring timely deal execution.
  6. Ensure the timely issuance of L/Cs and follow up with clients for receipt of L/Cs and payment undertakings.
  7. Coordinate with operations and shipping departments to monitor vessel movements and ensure receipt of shipping documents like B/Ls, Quality, and Quantity Certificates in a timely manner to avoid demurrage.
  8. Work with collateral management agents for the prompt issuance of warehouse receipts.
Required Experience and Knowledge:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of LETTER OF CREDIT (relevant UCP regulations) and related documentation.

  • Take full responsibility for tasks, show initiative, and ensure timely completion without delays.
  • Be confident, assertive, and capable of demanding when necessary.

  • Have good working knowledge of MS Office and related tools.
  • Be based in UAE and available to start ASAP.
