Job summary

Sharjah's House of Wisdom seeks an Exhibition Designer to lead end-to-end design and delivery of immersive exhibition and event environments, translating curatorial concepts into compelling spatial experiences from ideation to installation.

You will develop detailed design packages using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite, oversee production with vendors, and collaborate with exhibitions, events, operations and facilities teams to ensure safety, accessibility, and engaging visitor flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exhibition Design or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in exhibition, spatial, event, or experiential design.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience producing technical documentation and managing design-to-production workflows.
• Proven ability to oversee installations and coordinate with fabrication teams.
• Knowledge of materials, construction methods and safety standards.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

• Translate curatorial narratives into innovative spatial design concepts for visitor experience.
• Develop design packages with technical drawings and fabrication-ready files in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe.
• Lead full lifecycle of exhibition and event production from concept to installation and post-review.
• Ensure on-time delivery within scope, safety standards, and design intent.
• Collaborate with exhibitions, events, operations and facilities teams on timelines and specs.
• Oversee contractors and suppliers to maintain quality and adherence to design specs.
• Ensure accessibility, durability and optimal audience flow in the space.
• Continuously evaluate environments to enhance usability and engagement.
