IB MYP English Language and Literature Teacher - Dubai - January 2023

Overview

I am seeking a qualified IB MYP English teacher to join my client in Dubai. The school is a leading IB institution serving a European student population located on the outskirts of Dubai. Candidates should be native English speakers with experience delivering the IB curriculum at both the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. Students come from diverse European backgrounds, with native languages including German, English, and French.

Role Expectations

As an English teacher, you should enable students to engage critically and think independently during lessons, fostering an environment of inquiry and understanding. Experience with the IB Framework or comparable qualifications up to UK A level is preferred.

Requirements

1. Fully qualified and experienced teacher with a relevant Bachelor’s Degree in English
2. Professional teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent certification in English
3. Excellent command of written and spoken English
4. Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in an IB school
5. Proven success in previous teaching roles
6. Proficiency in a second language such as French, Arabic, or English (highly valued)
7. Previous international teaching experience is preferred
