Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach lessons following the IB curricula, differentiating for individual student needs and supporting students whose first language is not English.
- Use a wide range of technologies and creative teaching styles.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and development, including interdisciplinary units and transdisciplinary skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues for effective team teaching.
- Develop assessment tasks following IB guidelines, utilizing various formative assessment tools.
- Supervise IBMYP personal projects and IBDP extended essays.
- Attend curriculum planning and student progress meetings.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and attend parent meetings.
- Foster strong home-school relationships through regular communication.
- Provide care, guidance, and support to advisory groups, monitoring students’ academic and personal development.
- Implement the PSHE curriculum.
- Assist students in developing personalized learning goals and strategies.
- Coordinate with IB Co-ordinators to facilitate meaningful service activities for students.
Whole School Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in extracurricular activities.
- Contribute to creating a distinctive school ethos and promote high standards of conduct.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- Collaborate with colleagues on academic and social program development.
- Engage with new initiatives within the school.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Maintain records of attendance, curriculum, assessments, and data.
- Prepare student reports, references, and other documentation.
- Supervise students during break and lunchtimes as required.
- Assist in preparations for inspections, authorizations, and accreditations.
- Prepare documentation for IB external assessments.
Professional Development:
- Engage actively in ongoing professional development, including participation in professional learning groups.
- Deepen digital integration skills and contribute to technological innovation in teaching.
- Stay informed about developments in the IB curriculum.
Salary and Benefits:
Range: AED 12,100 to 15,675 per month, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
