Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and teach lessons following the IB curricula, differentiating for individual student needs and supporting students whose first language is not English.
  2. Use a wide range of technologies and creative teaching styles.
  3. Contribute to curriculum planning and development, including interdisciplinary units and transdisciplinary skills.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues for effective team teaching.
  5. Develop assessment tasks following IB guidelines, utilizing various formative assessment tools.
  6. Supervise IBMYP personal projects and IBDP extended essays.
  7. Attend curriculum planning and student progress meetings.
  8. Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and attend parent meetings.
  9. Foster strong home-school relationships through regular communication.
  10. Provide care, guidance, and support to advisory groups, monitoring students’ academic and personal development.
  11. Implement the PSHE curriculum.
  12. Assist students in developing personalized learning goals and strategies.
  13. Coordinate with IB Co-ordinators to facilitate meaningful service activities for students.

Whole School Responsibilities:

  1. Participate actively in extracurricular activities.
  2. Contribute to creating a distinctive school ethos and promote high standards of conduct.
  3. Safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues on academic and social program development.
  5. Engage with new initiatives within the school.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain records of attendance, curriculum, assessments, and data.
  2. Prepare student reports, references, and other documentation.
  3. Supervise students during break and lunchtimes as required.
  4. Assist in preparations for inspections, authorizations, and accreditations.
  5. Prepare documentation for IB external assessments.

Professional Development:

  1. Engage actively in ongoing professional development, including participation in professional learning groups.
  2. Deepen digital integration skills and contribute to technological innovation in teaching.
  3. Stay informed about developments in the IB curriculum.

Salary and Benefits:

Range: AED 12,100 to 15,675 per month, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
