Job summary

Archirodon Group N.V. is seeking a skilled Hydrotest Foreman to supervise piping hydrotesting activities at Abu Dhabi projects.

The role requires reviewing isometrics and P&IDs, coordinating test equipment installation and ensuring calibration, safety, and adherence to approved procedures. Ideal candidates will have 5-8 years of piping construction and hydrotesting experience, familiarity with ASME/API codes, and strong leadership and communication abilities to manage QA/QC, HSE, and client

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in piping construction and hydrostatic testing in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or EPC projects.
• Hands-on experience as a Hydrotest Foreman.
• Ability to read P&IDs and isometrics.
• Knowledge of hydrotest procedures, pressure-testing equipment, and testing limits.
• Familiarity with ASME/API codes and project specs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hydrostatic testing activities for piping systems and pipelines as per procedures.
• Review piping isometrics, P&IDs, test limits, line lists, and hydrotest drawings.
• Coordinate installation of test blinds, temporary spools, hoses, manifolds, pumps and pressure gauges.
• Ensure test equipment and gauges have valid calibration certificates.
• Verify test boundaries, isolation points, vents, drains, supports and reinstatement arrangements.
• Coordinate with piping supervisors, QA/QC inspectors, engineers, HSE and client reps.
• Ensure test parameters comply with procedures and specs.
• Establish exclusion zones and ensure safety during testing.
• Coordinate draining, drying, flushing, reinstatement and punch-list clearance after testing.
• Maintain hydrotest records and test completion documentation.
• Monitor manpower, tools, and progress against the project schedule.

• Supervise hydrostatic testing activities for piping systems and pipelines as per approved procedures and test packages.
• Review piping isometrics, P&IDs, test limits, line lists, and hydrotest drawings before testing.
• Coordinate installation of test blinds, temporary spools, hoses, manifolds, pumps, pressure gauges, and other test equipment.
• Ensure test equipment and pressure gauges have valid calibration certificates.
• Verify test boundaries, isolation points, vents, drains, supports, and required reinstatement arrangements.
• Coordinate with Piping Supervisors, QA/QC Inspectors, Construction Engineers, HSE personnel, and client representatives.
• Ensure the test pressure, holding time, test medium, and acceptance criteria comply with approved procedures and project specifications.
• Ensure permits, risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks, and barricading are in place before testing.
• Establish exclusion zones and ensure personnel remain clear of pressurized systems during testing.
• Monitor pressure build-up, pressure holding, leakage checks, and controlled depressurization.
• Stop testing immediately if leakage, abnormal pressure variation, equipment failure, or unsafe conditions occur.
• Coordinate draining, drying, flushing, reinstatement, and punch-list clearance after successful testing.
• Maintain hydrotest records, pressure charts, inspection reports, and test completion documentation.
• Monitor manpower, tools, equipment, and daily progress against the project schedule.

Qualifications

Minimum Criteria / Experience

• 5-8 years of experience in piping construction and hydrostatic testing activities within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or EPC projects.
• Hands-on experience as a Hydrotest Foreman supervising piping hydrotesting operations.
• Experience with piping systems, pipelines, test packages, test boundaries, temporary connections, and reinstatement.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, line lists, and test diagrams.
• Knowledge of hydrotest procedures, pressure testing equipment, pressure gauges, pumps, and manifolds.
• Familiarity with applicable ASME/API codes and project specifications.
• Knowledge of PTW, JSA/RA, pressure-testing hazards, exclusion zones, and emergency procedures.
• Previous ADNOC/UAE or GCC Oil & Gas project experience preferred.
• Good leadership, communication, reporting, and coordination skills.

Educational Qualification

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Piping, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant practical experience in piping construction and hydrotesting is essential.
