Job summary

GHD in Dubai is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with local codes and industry standards. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with MEP, architecture, utilities, and BIM teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.

The role requires a strong background in reinforced concrete and steel structures, proficiency with SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, and CAD tools, plus excellent communication and project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering; master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in structural engineering, building design.
• Professional engineering license or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with water-retaining, building structures, steelwork or related infrastructure.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination and working in multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop structural systems for buildings projects, ensuring compliance with local authority design requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• Review and input on designs to meet quality and safety standards.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and BIM technicians to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures are followed throughout project execution.
