HVAC Technician - Facility Maintenance

We are looking for an HVAC Technician to carry out preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on Mechanical / HVAC equipment and systems, individually or as part of a technical team, within a designated area, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

The ideal candidate should adhere to all technical and safety rules to ensure compliance with business standards. The role will be based at Dubai Airports.

Key accountabilities

• Conform to all general and specific technical safety requirements at all times to ensure health, safety & welfare of self and others.
• Perform other work as assigned by the supervisor/duty engineer to achieve operational goals.
• Maintain good knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Read, interpret, and describe the functionality of HVAC system drawings, including circuit & wiring diagrams, schematic, and layout drawings, regardless of manufacturer.
• Set up and use test equipment correctly and interpret test results on standalone and integrated HVAC systems, including manifold gauges, digital multimeters, clamp meters, temperature/humidity meters, vacuum gauges, and refrigeration leak detectors.
• Apply knowledge of local and international air conditioning and refrigeration standards and regulations.

Specific requirements

• Minimum six (6) years of experience in a Facility Management or similar environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Proficient in preparing technical reports, spreadsheets, and presentations using MS Office.
• Perform safety procedures on complex HVAC equipment, including electrical & mechanical isolations and LOTO, preventative maintenance, corrective, and breakdown repairs on various HVAC systems such as Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units, CRACUs, etc.
