The hotel is connected to Al Ghurair Shopping Centre, close to Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai International Airport.

Job Description

As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of air conditioning, climate control systems, heating equipment, ventilation units, and refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule repairs, maintenance, and installations to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
• Operate, maintain, repair, and adjust HVAC equipment such as Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, Split A/C Units, Window A/C Units, Cold rooms, Coolers, Ice machines, and Extract fans
• Implement energy-saving measures to reduce costs in line with sustainability policies
• Perform preventive maintenance and document service history
• Respond promptly to emergency requests like fire alarms, water flooding, or gas alarms
• Conduct minor building maintenance activities including painting, plumbing, and electrical work

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
• Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
• Trade Certificate in R/AC and Refrigeration Engineering is preferred
• Proficiency in English is advantageous
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Flexible with shift working hours

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing and walking during shifts
• Frequent lifting up to 20 lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional use of ladders, stairs, and ramps

Additional Information

Visa requirements: Must be eligible to work and reside in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair will cover visa and flight costs for selected candidates from their home country.
