Job description

· Install new air conditioning systems, including air handlers, condensers, and ductwork, ensuring they meet design specifications and local building codes.

Maintenance:

· Perform routine maintenance on AC systems, including cleaning, replacing filters, and inspecting components to prevent breakdowns and optimize efficiency.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot AC system issues and develop effective repair solutions, such as fixing refrigerant leaks, replacing faulty parts, and addressing electrical or mechanical problems.

· Properly handle, recover, and recycle refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.

Preventive Measures:

· Advise customers on energy-saving and maintenance tips, and recommend upgrades to improve system performance.

Documentation:

· Maintain accurate records of service and repairs, including the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Safety:

· Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment and adhere to industry-specific regulations.

Customer Service:

· Interact professionally with customers, explaining the scope of work, providing cost estimates, and addressing concerns.

Skills and Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in HVAC preferred.

· Proven experience as an AC Technician with expertise in installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.

· Knowledge of HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, electrical circuits, and control systems.

· Proficiency with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting equipment.

· Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· EPA 608 Universal Certification is advantageous.
