Job summary

Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City in Dubai, UAE, seeks a detail-oriented AC & Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems across our properties. You will work both independently and with a team to ensure peak performance while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires technical qualifications in HVAC & refrigeration, with experience in diagnostic tools, schematics, and UAE regulations. Strong problem solving and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in HVAC & Refrigeration (required).
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools: manifold gauges, multimeters, refrigerant recovery equipment.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and system documentation.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple job sites.
• Knowledge of UAE regulations and standards (preferred).
• Experience with commercial refrigeration systems (preferred).
• Additional HVAC/refrigeration certifications (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems per manufacturer specs and local regulations.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure efficiency, reliability and longevity.
• Conduct pressure testing, leak detection and refrigerant recovery per UAE rules.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and service calls to minimize downtime.
• Monitor equipment during shifts and report abnormalities to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Document all service work, repairs and maintenance clearly and accurately.
• Maintain a safe working environment following safety procedures and permit-to-work requirements.
• Hand over ongoing issues, completed works, and equipment status to the incoming shift.
