Job description

The HR Director is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the entire Human Resources function, aligning people strategies with business objectives. This role requires deep expertise in all HR disciplines, including talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, HR operations, and organisational development. The HR Director will lead a high-performing team and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, promoting a culture of performance, innovation, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support the company's business objectives and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Lead all aspects of human capital management including workforce planning, talent acquisition, development, engagement, succession planning, and retention.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on all human resources matters.
  • Oversee HR policies and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, labor regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness through change management, performance management, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Manage employee relations and conflict resolution to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics and KPIs to guide decision-making and report on HR performance.
  • Manage HR budgets and vendor relationships to optimize cost and service delivery.
  • Ensure the effective use of HR technologies and systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll, talent platforms).
  • Promote and maintain a culture of learning and professional growth across all departments.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or CIPD Level 7 are highly desirable.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role within FMCG or Retail
