The American University in the Emirates is seeking a Human Resources Director responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with the university's mission and goals. This role covers all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, talent development, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organizational development. The HR Director will foster a positive work environment and enhance the overall employee experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's Degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or related field from an accredited university
- Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD, GPHR, etc.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic
- Proven experience in higher education is preferred
Skills / Training / Knowledge
- Knowledge of university programs and operations, including administrative and academic affairs, is preferred
- Comprehensive HR knowledge and practices, with solid understanding of regulations and employee relations

- Regularly review and update HR policies
- Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Implement programs supporting a diverse workforce and cultural competency
- Analyze HR metrics to evaluate initiatives and identify improvements
- Prepare HR trend reports for senior leadership
- Utilize HRIS systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency
