The opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic HUB MEA SCM Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be accountable for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes and strategies in line with company and business objectives. The HUB SCM Manager leads a team of specialists to execute sourcing and procurement strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and supplier reliability. The HUB MEA SCM is responsible for an annual spend of around 200 MUSD.
How you'll make an impact
- Contribute to defining, implementing, and managing HBU spend management and sourcing strategies for direct materials and services, aligning with global strategies. Lead SCM activities across HBU countries, continuously optimizing sourcing processes and selecting competitive suppliers. Act as a sponsor of Global and Regional Category Teams, ensuring strategy understanding and process execution among all relevant parties, including project teams, engineering, and SCM.
- Secure annual targets with the GPG SCM Manager for cost reduction, supplier quality, delivery performance, sustainability, material compliance, etc. Monitor results through long-term planning and monthly reviews, encouraging continuous improvement.
- Establish transparent communication internally and externally, standardize processes, and implement routines according to Group SCM guidelines and business objectives. Fully utilize SCM tools to drive synergies, efficiencies, and global supply optimization.
- Implement Hitachi Energy standards on sustainability, business ethics, and the Supplier Code of Conduct. Oversee supplier audits, review reports, and ensure improvement activities based on audit findings.
- Work with HR support to ensure proper organization, staffing, skills, and direction within the area of responsibility. Guide, motivate, and develop team members, and coordinate SCM learning, development, talent management, and succession planning.

Your background
- A university degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in supply chain functions and project environments.
- Extensive experience in the industrial environment and supply chain management.
- Good technical knowledge in power transmission and distribution technologies.
- Analytical leadership and teamwork skills, with an independent, solution-oriented approach and strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience working in multicultural environments with high intercultural sensitivity, capable of leading and motivating teams effectively by influence.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; proficiency in Arabic is desirable.
