Responsibilities:

• Undertake their duties as defined in the applicable legal requirements, within the contract, Dar PMC HSE Management System and Client OHSE Policies.
• Ensure that the occupational health and safety risks are suitably assessed and managed.
• Review and ensure the adequacy of the proposed HSE control measures and arrangements in the contractors plans, method statements, risk assessments and other project related HSE documents.
• Ascertain that occupational HSE incidents occurring on the project are investigated and reported.
• Provide professional support and advice to the Project Management Team and other stakeholders as appropriate.
• Undertake audits and inspections to identify issues or non-conformity, recommend corrective action and draft and submit the associated reports for issue.
• Collect and submit HSE performance data for the monitoring and analysis of trends and statistics.
• Monitor and follow up on actions and instructions issued, so far as possible ensuring these are closed out in a timely manner.
• Initiate and organize OHS training of employees in accordance with the risk management programme .
• Attend Project Management Meetings when required to report on relevant health and safety matters.
• Seek advice from Dar’s HSE Manager if in doubt.
• Be familiar with the legal and other requirements applicable to the project and lead by example.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience with Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Must hold a NEBOSH Certification or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of HSE local Regulatory requirements and international standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experiences in 5-star complex residential or hospitality projects with complex stakeholders, PMC, packaging strategies, high-end branded buildings in the UAE or the Gulf would be an advantage.
