Job Description
- Develop and implement HSSE programs aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA, and local regulations
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend proactive corrective actions
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis, implementing preventive measures to support a culture of continuous improvement
- Manage safety permits, hazard identification systems, and coordinate emergency preparedness plans, drills, and crisis simulations
- Ensure proper maintenance and compliance of all safety equipment and systems
- Oversee environmental compliance including waste management, emissions control, and chemical handling
- Monitor and report environmental KPIs; identify and implement sustainability improvements
- Manage site security systems including CCTV, access control, and liaison with emergency responders
- Deliver and oversee HSSE training programs for all staff, contractors, and new hires
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, audits, and compliance documentation
- Assess HSSE implications in CAPEX and engineering projects, ensuring safe implementation
- Ensure contractor compliance with safety protocols through onboarding, audits, and continuous monitoring
- Represent the company in audits, inspections, and regulatory engagements
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to embed HSSE practices into daily operations
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Facility Manager
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of HSSE experience within high-risk industries such as oil & gas, construction, or manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience in leading safety investigations, environmental audits, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of local EHS regulations, international standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills.
- Hold relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
- Experience in conducting safety audits and inspections, with a keen eye for detail to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
