HSEQ Manager

Oversee the whole HSE MS to ensure that the team is at a priority level to assist the Management in creating a strong HSE culture. Act as the regulatory and technical resource to observe the highest possible standards of occupational health, safety, environment, and sustainability.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Lead the HSE Safeen and the HSE and sustainability incentive programs of AD Ports Group Clusters.
2. Promote and plan consistent high standards of Occupational health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability.
3. Lead the statistical analysis, risk assessments, accident investigation and reporting mechanisms to provide feedback for senior management.
4. Prepare HSE reports and ensure to involve the Senior Management regarding any HSE change, trend and tendency that could affect the business objectives of the Cluster/Group.
5. Ensure that HSE policy and procedure is up to date by liaising with all levels of management to determine, plan and prioritize the actions required in attaining and maintaining the health, safety and environment and Sustainability policy objectives.
6. Develop and manage the annual budget recommendations and implementation.
7. Ensure that periodic audits of the effectiveness of management structures and risk controls for HSE are carried out.
8. Manage HSE systems to ensure risks are assessed and sensible control measures are established and maintained.
9. Validate & approve HSE risk assessments & environment aspects for risk where residual risk is high and above and consequently approve the operation risk appetite.

People Management Responsibilities:

1. Ensure to develop and manage training programs and prepare the HSE capabilities required for business tendering.
2. Support the recruitment process for Health & safety personnel using the competency framework to establish baseline requirements.
3. Engage with direct reports in their Performance Development Reviews (PDRs), and review the PDRs of all other HSE personnel to ensure consistency and relevance.
4. Develop an employee wellness program to ensure all employees have an adequate working environment and appropriate support network in place.
5. Define a set of individual HSE KPIs and ensure to have them aligned with the Corporate HSE KPIs.
6. Manage HSEQ team performance, encourage engagement, handle interpersonal disputes, and empowerment.

Strategic Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and monitor HSE strategies that promote sustainable development in line with policies/procedures, values, vision, and mission.
2. Collaborate with Safeen MS’ Management to sustain safe & qualitative services to achieve HSEQ policy, fulfill ADPorts Group’ values, and HSEQ objectives.
3. Ensure that HSE and Sustainability is scalable to accommodate anticipated growth and has a heightened profile in line with all strategic objectives of the business.
4. Be part of HSE Steering Committee and hold regular meetings to advise on the implementation HSE strategies.
