Our client is a leading Real Estate Developer in Dubai

The Position

The position of Associate HSEQ Director will report to the Head of Delivery and be responsible for leading all HSEQ activities across a portfolio of projects from initiation through to handover and delivery completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of QHSE strategies across the projects portfolio, ensuring alignment with delivery programmes, construction milestones, and operational readiness requirements.
• Drive health, safety, environmental and quality compliance across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to UAE regulations, client requirements, and international standards.
• Embed a strong safety and quality culture across contractors, consultants, and delivery teams, ensuring proactive risk identification and mitigation.
• Oversee contractor and site QHSE performance, including audits, inspections, monitoring, and enforcement of compliance standards.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE regulatory requirements, environmental obligations, and relevant ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Collaborate closely with project directors, construction teams, consultants, and delivery stakeholders to integrate QHSE into all phases of project execution.
• Lead incident investigation processes, root cause analysis, and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on QHSE performance metrics across all projects, driving continuous improvement and best practice adoption.
• Support project completion, commissioning, and handover phases, ensuring all QHSE requirements are met prior to delivery.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks relating to safety, environmental impact, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience, including 3+ years in a senior management QHSE role.
• Experience working with leading developers or consultants
• Strong background delivering HSEQ on large-scale build projects
• Strong understanding of UAE health, safety, environmental, and construction regulatory frameworks.
• Extensive experience managing QHSE across major projects from construction through to handover.
• Strong knowledge of ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001) and their application on live projects.
• Proven ability to manage contractor performance and drive compliance across multiple stakeholders.
