Job Description
As an HSE Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our workplace. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and implement safety programs, ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with established safety standards and regulations. You will be pivotal in fostering a safe work culture by conducting regular audits, training sessions, and risk assessments. The HSE Supervisor will be tasked with investigating incidents to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures. Your expertise will guide the organization in achieving our goal of a zero-incident workplace, while also promoting sustainable environmental practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs that meet regulatory standards.
- Conduct periodic safety audits to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
- Organize and lead regular safety training sessions for all employees.
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to uncover root causes.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, including recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards within the workplace environment.
- Ensure the implementation of corrective actions following safety audits or incidents.
- Collaborate with management to develop a culture of safety and awareness.
- Provide guidance on environmental policies to promote sustainable practices.
- Monitor the workplace for compliance with occupational safety and health guidelines.
- Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and functional at all times.
- Stay updated on the latest health and safety regulations and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in HSE management or supervision.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and other relevant safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively conduct training sessions.
- Strong problem-solving skills to analyze and mitigate safety risks.
- Ability to develop and implement effective safety policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with incident investigation and root cause analysis techniques.
