Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a seasoned HSE Leader to head Health, Safety, Environment, Fire Safety and regulatory compliance for the JAFZA Warehouse and Head Office Complex in Dubai. The role focuses on maintaining UAE regulatory compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture across operations.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, OH&S or Environmental Science, 8–10 years of HSE experience with 5+ years in management, and NEBOSH certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable JAFZA, Trakhees-EHS, Dubai Civil Defense and UAE HSE regulations.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities.
• Lead risk assessments, HIRA, JSA and Safe Work Procedures.
• Manage warehouse safety programs including forklift operations, racking safety, loading bays, battery charging areas, contractor management and hazardous materials handling.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.
• Manage environmental compliance, waste management and sustainability initiatives.
• Deliver HSE training, inductions and awareness campaigns.
• Lead internal and external audits and maintain compliance documentation.

Position Purpose

To lead and manage all Health, Safety, Environmental, Fire Safety and Regulatory

Compliance activities across the JAFZA Warehouse and Head Office Complex, ensuring full

compliance with JAFZA, Trakhees-EHS, Dubai Civil Defense and UAE regulatory

requirements while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or

related discipline.

Experience

Minimum 8–10 years of HSE experience including at least 5 years in a managerial role.

Experience within JAFZA, logistics, warehousing or distribution environments is mandatory.

Mandatory Certifications

• NEBOSH International Diploma (Preferred) or NEBOSH IGC
• Fire Marshal / Fire Warden Certification
