Job description

Black & Grey HR is actively recruiting for a prominent facilities management company based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our Client is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment across various construction and landscape projects by implementing and maintaining comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential health, safety, and environmental hazards
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for hazard control measures.
  • Organize and conduct safety training programs for construction and landscape teams.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, or near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate HSE requirements into project planning and execution.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure that all personnel have access to and effectively use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Advise on waste management and environmental sustainability practices in construction and landscape projects.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree / Diploma in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in HSE roles within the construction or facilities management sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough investigations and compile comprehensive reports.
  • Proficiency in organizing and delivering training programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and recommend control measures.
