Job Details

Title: Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Officer

Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor the implementation of health, safety, and environmental arrangements at project sites, ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements.
  2. Stay updated with the latest legal, health, and safety standards.
  3. Communicate and advise contractors on the implementation of safe work systems.
  4. Conduct internal audits on WME and contractor HSE management systems.
  5. Review contractors' HSE plans, procedures, risk assessments, and method statements prior to work execution.
  6. Deliver HSE training to WME employees, including induction and safe working practices.
  7. Ensure compliance with company and project KPIs.
  8. Plan daily site visits to verify HSE measures are in place before work begins.
  9. Perform joint HSE inspections with contractor HSE personnel and management to identify hazards and risks.
  10. Record inspection findings and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  11. Ensure timely implementation of corrective actions and closeout of observations.
  12. Raise Non-Conformance Reports and Suspension of Work Instructions when necessary.
  13. Verify the effectiveness of emergency response plans through mock drills.
  14. Lead incident investigations and provide technical guidance for root cause analysis and preventive measures.
