Job summary

A recruitment agency in the UAE is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional. The role involves developing HSE policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within construction or infrastructure projects. NEBOSH or IOSH certification is preferred. Job description

Location: Fujairah, United Arab Emirates

Salary: 6000-7000 AED per month

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the UAE and with construction, road and infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE software
  • NEBOSH, IOSH,or equivalent certification is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with local and international regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention
  • Conduct training and awareness sessions on HSE topics for employees and contractors
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and make necessary improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to health, safety, and environment
  • Maintain and update HSE records and documentation
  • Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to test their effectiveness
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HSE and make recommendations for their implementation
