A leading company in the Oil & Gas sector is seeking an HSSE Officer to ensure workplace safety and compliance with regulations. The role involves conducting inspections, training staff on safety practices, and monitoring site incidents. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in HSE, relevant certifications, and 3-5 years of experience in the field.

Authority of Post Holder
To stop all work associated with HSE Constraint.
To issue & monitor Work Permits and verify the safe working conditions
Inspecting and evaluating workplace environments, equipment, PPE, and practices, to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
To escalate all high risk / high impact HSE matters to Line Manager / GM immediately
Primary Responsibilities
Providing basic induction and orientation on the Occupational Health and Safety program to contractors, drivers, suppliers etc.
Assisting in the administration and development of HSE Policy, Procedures and Safe Work Practices.
Maintaining and monitoring the site incident reporting system for any HSE related concerns and following up for closure.
Sharing knowledge and training on HSE matters to Company Employees.
Monitoring and checking the security documents daily
Conducting inspections and participating in site investigations
Inspecting specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, and first-aid supplies
Audit work performed by contractors or employees under “Safe Work Permit”
Inspect job site activities during particularly difficult or hazardous work situations.
Participate in conducting hazard assessments of work functions and assisting with the implementation of hazard controls
Assist in conducting Emergency Response Training Programs and in conducting safety drills.
Monitoring and clearing of all Non-Hazardous Waste.
Assisting the HSE Manager in the Regulatory Compliance requirements from Trakhees EHS
Assist HSE Manager in the preparation of presentations to reflect on the department’s performance and achievement.
Responsible for accomplishing individual KPI’s in the area.
Shared Responsibilities
To maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
Conducting Safety and House-keeping inspections, and implementing improvements
Skills
Minimum Qualification of the Post
Degree Holder or Diploma in HSE.
Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent (Preferred)
Minimum experience of 3-5 years in HSE.
Experience in the Oil & Gas sector or industrial manufacturing (Preferred)
To have good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to control safety matters in site through strong presence in the field.
Ability to Investigate the root cause HSE observations put forward by staff members, customers, clients, and contractors and report the result to the HSE manager
Ability to collect data for HSE performance and report it to the line manager for further analysis
Involve with all teams to bring a positive safety culture in the organization.
