Job summary

Vijay Tanks FZC in Abu Dhabi seeks an HSE Specialist to conduct daily safety inspections of fabrication areas, monitor activities and ensure compliance with client HSE requirements and applicable regulations.

You will lead toolbox talks, manage PTW systems, risk assessments and JSA, investigate incidents, maintain records, and support audits by clients, authorities and third parties. Minimum 2 years of oil & gas HSE experience with NEBOSH certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections of fabrication areas and equipment
• Ensure compliance with client HSE requirements and safety regulations
• Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings for employees and subcontractors
• Monitor welding, cutting, lifting and material handling activities
• Manage PTW systems, risk assessments and JSA processes
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; prepare related reports
• Maintain HSE records, inspection and training files
• Coordinate with supervisors and engineers to resolve safety issues
• Support audits and inspections by clients, authorities and third parties

Job description

Conduct daily safety inspections of fabrication areas workstations equipment and work activities Ensure compliance with client HSE requirements company procedures and applicable safety regulations Conduct toolbox talks safety briefings and awareness sessions for employees and subcontractors Monitor work activities such as welding cutting grinding lifting scaffolding and material handling to ensure safe execution Ensure proper implementation of Permit-to-Work PTW systems risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis JSA Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions Investigate incidents near misses and unsafe conditions and prepare related reports Maintain HSE records inspection reports training records and safety documentation Conduct emergency response drills and support emergency preparedness activities Monitor fire safety equipment first aid facilities and emergency arrangements Coordinate with supervisors engineers and workers to resolve safety issues Assist in preparing HSE reports statistics and performance updates Support audits and inspections by clients authorities and third-party agencies

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• NEBOSH certification is mandatoryMinimum 2 years of HSE experience in Oil & Gas is mandatoryKnowledge of PTW systems, risk assessment, incident investigation, and HSE procedures.
• Familiarity with fabrication activities such as welding, cutting, lifting operations, and workshop safety.
