AtkinsRalis is looking for a HSE Officer in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and adhere to AtkinsRalis internal HSE management system requirements and procedures.
  • Ensure project HSE requirements are followed and enforced among the AtkinsRalis team.
  • Monitor compliance of WSA staff with safety standards and procedures; report violations to the Project Manager.
  • Assess and report on Contractor and Subcontractors' HSE compliance per contract and legislation.
  • Highlight critical safety issues to Atkins Ralis PM for prompt action.
  • Conduct safety training sessions for WSA staff.
  • Perform daily site HSE tours with Contractor HSE staff and document findings.
  • Issue Safety Enforcement Notices (SEN) as per procedures.
  • Follow up on HSE issues, including SENs, ensuring timely closure and compliance evidence.
  • Review and comment on Contractors' HSE Plans, risk assessments, and work method statements.
  • Develop and update HSE documents such as Safety Files, risk assessments, fire risk assessments, etc.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents involving Atkins Ralis staff.
  • Compile accident reports and incident statistics.
  • Chair weekly safety meetings as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute Minutes of Meeting (MOM) within 48 hours.
  • Maintain HSE registers and report accidents immediately.
  • Coordinate with Atkins Ralis KSA Health and Safety Manager for advice and reporting.
Qualifications & Certification
  • Minimum 8+ years of HSE management experience, with at least 5 years in UAE.
  • NEBOSH IGC certification.
  • Proficiency in DM and ADOSH frameworks.
  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in building and infrastructure construction projects.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is preferred.
  • Current residence in the UAE and availability for face-to-face interviews.
