Job summary

A reputable petroleum company in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced HSE Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting HSE orientation, implementing HSE deliverables, and performing inspections. A minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE, with 3 years in the oil and gas sector is required. Candidates with prior ADNOC approvals will be given preference. Good communication skills in English are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in HSE, with 3 years in construction or oil & gas.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC HSE Standards and WMS system is required.
  • CICPA/OPTIMA travel card is mandatory.

  • Conduct HSE orientation and awareness sessions for workers.
  • Implement Construction HSE deliverables and site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct HSE Inspections and Audits.

HSE OFFICER

Professional / Technical Qualifications

Minimum one of the following:

  • NEBOSH IGC or Equivalent (Subject to approval by ADNOC Group)
  • Any other HSE certifications (considered at ADNOC Group discretion)
  • Additional HSE Trainings / Certifications will be added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to conduct HSE orientation / induction/HSE awareness sessions to workers.
  • Ability to understand and implement Construction HSE deliverables (HSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures/plans) and site specific HSE procedures / work instructions.
  • Practical experience in implementation of SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.)
  • Ability to conduct HSE Inspections/ Audits
  • Ability to understand and implement incident reporting and investigation procedures.
  • Knowledge in emergency scenarios related to Oil & Gas and involvement in emergency response.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC HSE Standards & WMS system
  • Scope of work and experience in site base activities
  • Ability to speak read and write English with good communication skills.
Work Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE in any industry, with at least 3-year experience in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects / operations / production in the oil & gas or Petro-chemical industries.
  • Working in Petroleum Island turnaround, in gas Plant is preferred.
  • Candidates with prior ADNOC approvals preferred.
  • Candidate must have CICPA/OPTIMA travel card.

Any Bachelor's degree (from an institution of higher learning authorized to grant academic degrees in the country of issue)
