About The Job

Key Responsibilities:
- The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) officer acts as a liaison for all industrial projects, ensuring HSE guidelines and safety regulations are incorporated into project design. Responsibilities include hazard assessments, industrial hygiene monitoring, facility reviews, process hazard analysis, incident investigations, and preventive measures.
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections; prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
- Design and implement emergency response plans, guidelines, and procedures.
- Perform Risk Assessments to identify hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with TIP for chemical and hazardous material gate pass approvals.
- Manage FANR documentation and import permits.
- Coordinate with TIP HSE on incidents or issues.
- Lead investigations into incidents, determine root causes, and develop action plans.
- Review and approve project method statements and HSE deliverables.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop safety plans and control hazards.
- Monitor safety schedule adherence and project requirements.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees.
- Implement Permit-to-work systems, including confined space, JSA/JHA, and hot work permits.
- Develop waste management and housekeeping programs, and report to authorities.
Experience and Education:
- Minimum 10+ years in HSE management and safety engineering.
- Preferred 2+ years in an HSE role within manufacturing, oil & gas, or defense sectors, with regional exposure.
- Diploma or certification in Occupational HSE, Process Safety, or Risk Management from an accredited institution.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of local HSE laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
