The Key Objectives For This Role Are
Provide leadership and direction for the HSSE department, ensuring compliance with management systems, safety policies, and regulations by supervising procedures and safety plans.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee HSSE management systems aligned with company and regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with local and international HSSE regulations and industry best practices
- Lead risk management, hazard identification, and mitigation strategies
- Conduct HSSE training, awareness programs, and competency development
- Perform audits, inspections, and incident investigations with timely corrective actions
- Foster a strong HSSE culture through engagement and communication
- Liaise with authorities, stakeholders, and subcontractors for compliance
Qualifications
Expected
- Degree in a relevant discipline
- ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor Qualification
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Extensive experience in HSSE management for large-scale onshore gas or oil & gas EPCM projects
- Strong knowledge of legislation, standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001), and best practices
- Proven leadership and stakeholder influence skills
- Experience in emergency response, environmental impact assessment, and security risk management
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
