Description
The Field HSE Supervisor will provide Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) support for field-based operations and construction activities in Oxy AD Block 3 & 5, focusing on incident prevention, work-site contractor management, control of work (permit to work), and control of Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS). The supervisor will coordinate efforts to improve HSE culture, compliance, and performance continuously.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Promoting and implementing a strong, positive HSE culture as a visible leader.
- Managing onboarding of personnel, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring all HSE requirements are met before work begins.
- Leading, coaching, and mentoring contractor HSE personnel to foster proactive workforce engagement.
- Ensuring compliance with PSPGs, ADNOC HSE Standards, HSEIA, and EAD requirements through surveillance, audits, assessments, and inspections, and tracking corrective actions to closure.
- Serving as the HSE focal point for PTW and SIMOPS oversight, ensuring the effective implementation of safe systems of work.
- Reporting incidents promptly and ensuring thorough investigations are conducted per requirements.
- Collaborating with Drilling, Operations, Commissioning, and Construction teams on HSE issues.
- Participating in daily briefs and HSE meetings, providing input and leadership.
- Promoting safe behavior through on-site coaching, mentoring, and Stop Work Authority (SWA).
- Distributing daily HSE reports and recording HSE KPIs.
- Leading emergency responses according to established plans.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in HSE or Occupational Health & Safety (OHS).
- Minimum of 10 years of HSE experience, including at least 5 years in operations and construction.
- Experience with local and international Oil & Gas HSE standards, legislation, and program implementation, including PTW and SIMOPS.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interaction skills across organizational levels.
- Ability to lead incident investigations using root cause analysis tools such as Taproot.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions.
