About the Role

The HSE & Environment Lead will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental programs across Sunset Hospitality Group’s operations. This role ensures compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and UAE HSE regulations, while actively driving sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and biodiversity protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the rollout and implementation of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Oversee HSE compliance, including risk assessments, inspections, internal audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Support environmental sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction, recycling, energy efficiency, and biodiversity.
• Provide technical guidance to the HSE team and collaborate closely with the Food Safety team.
• Prepare HSE reports, KPIs, and audit documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver HSE training and awareness programs across the organization.
• Liaise with regulators, auditors, suppliers, and sustainability partners to maintain compliance and certifications.
• Contribute to ESG and sustainability reporting processes.

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Safety Engineering, or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory); ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Lead Auditor preferred from hospitality or food & beverage industry.
• 5–8 years of HSE experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven expertise in ISO 14001 implementation and audits.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE laws and international standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and incident investigation skills.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
• Proficient in risk assessment and management.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving, & report writing skills.
