We are seeking three qualified HSE Engineers / Officers to ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site. The ideal candidates will hold an Engineering Degree and NEBOSH certification, demonstrating a solid foundation in safety management practices and risk mitigation. The role involves identifying hazards, developing safety protocols, conducting training, and promoting a culture of safety across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and develop preventive measures.
- Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to management, highlighting trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct safety inductions, training sessions, and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary permits and certifications are up to date.
- Promote a proactive safety culture among all employees through communication and engagement.
- Support emergency response planning and participate in drills and investigations.
- Maintain accurate records of HSE activities, inspections, and incidents.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
- NEBOSH General Certificate is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in HSE roles within construction, manufacturing or relevant industries.
- Strong knowledge of local and international HSE laws and standards.
- Proficient in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient with MS Office and HSE management software.
