Your Job

Guardian Glass, Ras Al Khaimah is looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Engineer to join the team. In this role, you will support the Continuous Manufacturing Group Operations located in Ras Al Khaimah UAE. The ideal candidate will utilize their environmental, health, and safety knowledge to build programs that minimize EHS risks and enhance the EHS culture within the plant.

This position will be part of the EHS department, reporting to the EHS manager.

What You Will Do

1. Develop knowledge, use, and advance our Principled Based Management culture.
2. Build effective working relationships with operational teams to develop EHS capability at the plant.
3. Foster an environment of collaboration and active participation, where employees understand and exercise their decision rights, and raise ideas and improvements around EH&S.
4. Develop and align facility EH&S programs and strategies according to plant operations and projects.
5. Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety legislation and internal standards.
6. Ensure cost-effective implementation of strategic EH&S targets to maximize safety and environmental performance.
7. Support internal and external EH&S audits.
8. Lead investigations and reporting of EH&S incidents to develop systems and employee capabilities to prevent further incidents.
9. Coordinate with operations to ensure contractors adhere to our Safety Vision and EH&S standards.
10. Regularly report, advise, and coach the plant leadership team on EH&S issues to maintain competitiveness.
11. Develop, improve, and implement EH&S training systems to meet plant needs.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Safety, Environmental, or related field.
2. 0 – 2 years of EHS experience.
3. Proficiency in both Arabic and English communication skills.
4. Strong communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills.

What Will Put You Ahead

1. Broad knowledge of UAE environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations.
