Job Description:

HSE Engineer

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented HSE Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will provide advice and assistance to Project and Construction Management in the formulation, implementation, and management of major project safety plans.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Advise and assist the most senior construction site representative in establishing and managing ESHARP Management and Parsons SH&E processes, identifying and controlling hazards to persons and property.
  2. Audit and inspect the job site to detect and correct safety hazards.
  3. Supervise first aid personnel in providing care to occupationally injured or ill personnel.
  4. Audit job accident records and prepare periodic audit reports.
  5. Initiate and conduct accident investigations and prepare accident reports.
  6. Represent management during safety inspections by regulatory authorities or insurance carriers.
  7. Review and distribute safety inspection reports with recommended corrective actions.
  8. Oversee new hire safety orientation and safety-related training.
  9. Conduct risk assessments for upcoming work and support safety planning.
  10. Perform other responsibilities as appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in safety, health, environmental/loss prevention, or relevant engineering disciplines from an accredited university.
  2. Recognized health and safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, OSHAD-OSHMS Practitioner, First Aid, Fire Safety) and UAE licenses or training.
  3. Minimum 15+ years of construction supervision experience, including at least 8 years in a senior supervisory role.
  4. Experience working in an engineering consulting firm.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience in UAE and possession of a driving license is advantageous.
