Job summary

Une entreprise internationale recherche un HSE Design Lead pour superviser les questions de sécurité technique sur des projets dans les bureaux de Dubaï et d'Abou Dhabi. Ce rôle exige plus de 15 ans d'expérience dans l'ingénierie de sécurité dans l'industrie pétrolière et gazière, avec une responsabilité importante dans l'évaluation des risques et la conformité aux normes.

Qualifications

• Plus de 15 ans d'expérience en ingénierie de sécurité dans l'industrie pétrolière et gazière.
• Connaissance des spécifications générales de TotalEnergies souhaitée.
• Expérience sur des projets internationaux en phase de détail d'ingénierie est un plus.

Responsibilities

• Superviser et contribuer à toutes les études de sécurité, y compris les évaluations des risques.
• Réviser et approuver les documents des entrepreneurs liés à l'ingénierie de sécurité.
• Communiquer régulièrement avec le siège pour des questions relatives à la sécurité et à l'environnement.

Job description

We are looking for a HSE Design Lead for one of our clients with the following details:

Service Location: Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices, UAE

Work Schedule: Residential

Start: Aug 2025

Duration: 24 months, extendable

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Engineering degree in relevant discipline
• Significant experience of more than 15 years in Safety engineering in Oil & Gas Industry.
• Previous experience on multinational project in detail engineering phase (on onshore project is a plus). Proven experience in Technological Risk Assessment according to the methodology of TotalEnergies General specification
• Good knowledge of international codes and standards, Knowledge of TotalEnergies general specifications is a plus.
• Fluent in English.

The main activities of the job holder are as follow:

• To guide all personnel involved in technical safety issues
• To timely review and where applicable approve all safety engineering and environment related Contractors' documents such as calculation notes, plot plans/layouts, safety logic control and specifications and ESHIA commitment register.
• To supervise and contribute to all safety studies while ensuring that they are planned and executed at the appropriate time, and that the methodology and procedures for these studies are produced and approved prior to their commencement.
• To supervise and contribute to Risk Assessments, particularly the TRA.
• To participate in safety reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, TRA workshops, etc...
• To monitor and verify the close-out of all safety and environment-related action items from the various safety reviews.
• To liaise and regularly communicate with COMPANY HQ One-HSE
• To follow up and prepare answers in due time to the deviation's requests issued by Contractors and to prepare and obtain approval of derogations requests from COMPANY Headquarters
• To provide support in his field of expertise to other engineering disciplines; to procurement Team for the supervision of the procurement, inspection and tests during the fabrication activities and to Operations Team for the preparation of the operating procedures.
• To conduct studies leading to technical decision making and recommendation to project management.
• To coordinate with the Affiliate HSE Team on safety and environment-related subjects.
• To provide reporting in his discipline, highlighting critical issues to the Engineering Manager and proposing remedial actions.
