Job Description

As HR Specialist Governance & Compliance, you will support the Governance & Compliance practices of the HR department by leveraging industry best practices. You will collaborate with all HR teams and other relevant internal stakeholders, such as Operations, Internal Audit, and Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A). The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate efficient and rewarding employee experiences across all people lifecycle dimensions, including performance management, productivity, learning and professional development, attrition, and retention. You will apply process improvement and standardization frameworks, quality assurance principles, and continuous monitoring of compliance controls across process, system, and data landscapes, supporting enterprise strategic themes like Regulatory Compliance, Business Agility & Efficiency, Business Growth, and Employee Experience.

In this role, you will:
  1. Enable process governance by conducting process landscape assessments across HR departments and organizational activities to determine process effectiveness, eliminate inefficiencies, and support innovative solutions.
  2. Collaborate with the HR Governance & Compliance Manager to implement an internal quality and control framework, evaluate process risk profiles, design risk mitigation steps, and monitor internal control effectiveness.
  3. Facilitate training and adoption of process and data governance through coaching, lean academy, business privacy lead, analytics power users training, SOPs, and data management practices ensuring compliance and data governance.
  4. Ensure all processes related to the employee lifecycle are fully GDPR compliant and aligned with international best practices.
  5. Support industry research to identify best practices in process governance, validate, and collate current and future process/technology/data needs of HR.
  6. Implement the HR data governance strategy aligned with Emirates Group’s corporate governance, focusing on Data Protection, Data Quality Assurance, and Metadata Management.
  7. Perform operational data governance activities with HR data stewards to ensure proper management of people data across systems and the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).
  8. Support the HR Data & Analytics team in defining the self-service analytics model and metadata management for quality data models, metrics, and KPIs.
  9. Maintain and monitor process-related documentation to ensure relevance and accuracy.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including one or more of the following:
    • Process improvement techniques such as supply chain management, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
    • Project Management and business consultancy in operational areas
    • Innovation and Robotic Process Automation techniques
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Experience working with consultancy, compliance, or audit functions within a business

Preferred additional qualities:

  • Collaborative contributor with experience building trusted relationships across teams
  • Ability to multitask and work across departments with strict deadlines, managing stakeholder interests
