Job description

The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Supervise and provide consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, budget, and labor relations.

Duties (Authority):

  • Making hiring & firing decisions and establishing policies on acquiring new talent, creating benefits packages, and procedures.
  • Creating and implementing policy manuals that are consistently applied across all departments.
  • Ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management.

Duties:

  • Managing and coordinating staff activities, including training, employee development, performance evaluation, hiring decisions, and establishing goals and performance objectives for the department.
  • Providing continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to ensure effective use of resources and equipment.
  • Managing budget and expenditures.
  • Implementing and coordinating policies and programs related to recruiting, compensation, onboarding, training, and employee/labor relations.
  • Providing HR consulting expertise to management and employees.
  • Consulting with employees and managers to address root causes of issues and resolving them systematically and analytically.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and corporate policies, and identifying opportunities for new and improved practices to achieve business goals.
  • Assisting in establishing policies and procedures, including disciplinary policies, and monitoring their fair application.
  • Advising, reviewing, and approving disciplinary actions and dismissals.
  • Guiding managers on salary administration, recruitment, and selection processes.
  • Resolving internal employee complaints.
  • Performing other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Complying with all company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining good industrial relations and welfare activities within the company.
  • Monitoring departmental objectives and performance to ensure achievement.
  • Providing input data for management review and participating in management review meetings.

Duties (Accountability):

  • Overseeing security, safety of the factory, cleanliness of the plant, and management of the canteen.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements such as the Factory Act and labor laws.
  • Maintaining records of accidents and incidents.
