Job description

Job Purpose

To ensure the successful implementation of Emirates Flight Catering’s agreed contingent workforce strategy across the business through end-to-end management of all relevant contingent workforce populations and associated daily operations.

Job Context

  • Lead the business in efficient and effective contingent workforce management
  • Support the established contingent workforce strategy through comprehensive daily operations management.
  • Recommend short, medium, and long term solutions to continually enhance the contingent workforce model

Key Result Areas

  1. Contribute to the contingent workforce strategy formulation in alignment with the strategic and operational objectives of the business.
  2. Conduct research on industry practices, analyse and suggest reasonable and optimized outsourcing models to improve service delivery qualities with better cost control.
  3. Partner with internal cross-functional partners and business leaders to ensure the contingent working model suits business needs and is linked to business demand and is audit ready.
  4. Manage and oversee end-to-end contingent workforce operations and processes including but not limited to receiving and reviewing business requirements, applying due diligence of requirements shared by business, securing approvals, liaising with agencies on invoicing, deployment, onboarding, demobilisation, and the subsequent monitoring of contingent workers within Emirates Flight Catering’s premises.
  5. In partnership with human resources and internal business stakeholders, identify, define, build, and deploy process improvement initiatives and optimisation projects to ensure continuous process and experience improvements associated with contingent workforce operations.
  6. Maintains effective and professional vendor communications with both vendors as well as internal stakeholders, leading to high levels of trust and strengthened relationships.
  7. Develop, implement, and maintain accurate reports and dashboards to ensure accurate contingent workforce reporting to relevant stakeholders on a regular basis.
  8. Actively partner with the relevant internal departments as well as vendors to ensure robust contract creation, lead the management of agreed KPIs and SLAs and report on relevant metrics to the key stakeholders within the business.
  9. Deploy successful and effective risk mitigation strategies to manage potential risk associated with contingent workforce operations.
  10. Address inquiries and escalations from the business that come through regarding contingent workers with solutions to ensure continuity of efficient daily operations.
  11. Develop and oversee vendor governance & compliance practices within the contingent workforce processes and operations to ensure all government and business compliance expectations are met.

Education Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in, business administration, project management, human resources, or similar disciplines.

Work Experience:

  1. 7+ years of experience in business planning, large scale contingent workforce operations, manpower optimisation and similar fields.
  2. At least 5+ years’ experience in resource management, manpower planning or similar discipline.
  3. Implementation of contingent workforce management systems within a large organisation is preferred
