Job description

We are looking for a strategic, experienced, and people-focused HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function within our school. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong HR leadership, overseeing the full employee lifecycle, and ensuring the effective delivery of HR services across the school. Working closely with the School Principal and Senior Leadership Team, the HR Manager will provide expert guidance on employee relations, recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, and HR policies and procedures. The role will also ensure that all HR practices are aligned with UAE Labour Law, ADEK requirements, and the school’s policies and standards, while promoting a positive, professional, and supportive working environment for all staff.

Lead and manage all day-to-day HR operations across the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, probation, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain high-quality teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Manage employee records and ensure that all personnel files and documentation are accurate, complete, and confidential.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law, MOHRE requirements, ADEK regulations, and other relevant government authorities.
  • Oversee staff eligibility, licensing, approvals, and required documentation in line with education authority requirements.
  • Manage employment contracts, offer letters, renewals, amendments, resignations, terminations, and end-of-service processes.
  • Provide professional HR advice and support to the School Principal, Senior Leadership Team, and line managers.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary issues, grievances, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Support and monitor the employee probation and performance management processes.
  • Work closely with the Finance and Payroll teams to ensure accurate employee data, salaries, allowances, leave, and end-of-service benefits.
  • Manage and monitor staff attendance, leave, absence, and HR-related reporting.
  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
  • Ensure all HR processes are conducted in a fair, consistent, confidential, and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate HR reports and provide workforce data and analysis to school leadership and management.
  • Support staff wellbeing, engagement, retention, and professional development initiatives.
  • Manage HR systems and ensure accurate and up-to-date employee information.
  • Liaise with government authorities, PRO teams, and external service providers as required.
  • Support workforce planning, organisational structure, and annual staffing requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role within the education sector preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a strategic and hands-on approach.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Fluency in English & Arabic is a must
